Lotus Qigong and Empty Meditation
Practitioners learn how to enter the state of tranquility with cessation-contemplation method. To prepare for meditation we incorporate qigong movements such as hip rotations, specialized stretches that aim at removing chi blockages. The ‘True Qi’ arises when one ‘lets go’ of the breath and achieving the Breathless State. Chi channels must be relatively open to reach this state. This practice involves the Subconcious mind and letting of any form of control of the breath after the warm up. The stretches and reverse breathing in the warm up opens the hips and leg meridians. The goal is to make the hips and legs more lumbar and elastic.
