Neigong Body Qi Cultivation: Internal Martial Arts Program - Phase 1, 2, & 3
Phase 1: Qigong Practitioners learn proper Reverse Abdominal Breath to open the body’s meridian system. The connective tissues of the body are filled with breath to the absolute maximum. This creates an ‘internal pressure’ to gently but forcefully open the energy channels throughout the body.
Phase 2: Practitioners learn how to enter the state of tranquility with cessation-contemplation method. To prepare for meditation we incorporate qigong movements such as hip rotations, specialized stretches that aim at removing chi blockages. The ‘True Qi’ arises when one ‘lets go’ of the breath and achieves the Breathless State. Chi channels must be relatively open to reach this state.
Phase 3: After Completing Phase 1 & 2 of the internal martial arts program practitioners learn more difficult moves synchronized with the 'Sinking of the Qi' Skill to open up the meridians. Phase 3 the program teaches 4 more styles of qigong. Its best to learn these styles after one has become acqainted with the qigong breathing in previous trainings.
